Bruce Hoppe, PhD, founder and president of Connective Associates LLC, has helped businesses large and small to improve productivity, innovation, and leadership with a network perspective. Dr. Hoppe is also an experienced community leader and sought-after public speaker. He teaches Web Science in the Department of Computer Science at Boston University and writes a popular business blog Connectedness about social network analysis. Dr. Hoppe is a member of MIT Sloan’s Innovative Collaborative Knowledge Networks project and a member of Harvard Law School’s Social Physics project on Internet & Society.
Many of Dr. Hoppe’s most notable projects involve catalyzing collective awareness and action. Dr. Hoppe provides primary SNA expertise to the Leadership Learning Community, a nationwide collaborative of leadership development practitioners, funders, and thought leaders dedicated to social change, health, education, the environment, and other causes.
Formerly, Dr. Hoppe was a professor of Operations Research at Rice University. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Cornell University in 1995 for his research on dynamic network optimization algorithms, which was recognized by the National Science Foundation as one of the outstanding contributions to the field of mathematics by a PhD student.
